Ah, the subject line grabbed your attention, didn't it? Well, that's pretty much what my weekend was comprised of. The ninja part of it was taken care of by hours and hours of an anime called Naruto, based around a ninja village and the young 'uns growing up within. Fairly entertaining actually. You couldnt "correct" your reality by altering another, as you have established. The corrections to reality have adverse effects that prevent you from completing your mission, but those adverse effects were caused by you, implying that you can change the future, it's just not an exact science. My question, then, is the chicken/egg deal. If a character tries to fix his reality by going back, but kills his ol' grand-dad, preventing his own birth, which in turn prevents the murder of his grandfather... Who dies ( ... )

Looks like a nice setup, I like the thought you've obviously put into it. It would seem, from a DM's perspective, to be something difficult to pull off, but way-freakin-cool if done right... which I'm sure you'll do.

Also, can I meet me in another iteration, or does the branching of my reality (do I go back to fix it or not?) remove me from the reality I'm traveling to (before anything needs fixing, to prevent breakage)?
