Some of the turns of phrase that have come into common place usage nearly cause my brain to hemorrhage. For instance, the use of the word "retarded"

People at west have begun using the word "sick" in place of cool. Apparently disease is a great thing to have! On an opposite note, I have come to terms with older phrase variations which are simply badass. "Fresh" is great. So is "cool beans." Something being "swank" is boarderline, but if your being 70's, I can't argue.
