Unless you hold too many objections to Sirius/Remus...

There is, of course, shoebox_project, which is lovely and has PDF files somewhere so you can actually guarantee seeing the pictures... Look around, link's somewhere, I lost my link or I'd give it to you... >.>

does both a Sims reinactment of the books nearly word for word, and also a thing called Timeturner Episodes (or something) which is rather amusing...

And stealingsims is a Sims reinactment of a story called Stealing Harry... I think the link to the story might be in stealingsims's info. It should be, anyway. Wonderful story, and while the sims thing isn't completely accurate to the story... Still worth a look.

Aaaaand... There're bound to be some good stories in my Favourite Authors and Favourite Stories on my ff.n account (found here) and I'd link to them directly, but can't seem to look at them from this computer for some reason. So I won't try.

But welcome to the insanity. I don't even know why I'm part of it. I don't enjoy most of the books/movies.

Sirius/Remus is just...so right. XD

*gobbles up fandom links*

Haha, that is odd. XD I am the other way round--I enjoy the books, but I'm so far only dabbling in the fandom. Anyway, I'm a firm believer in the theory that a great character/plot/world can shine through and be interesting even in the clutches of bad writing/directing/acting (see: Ezri Dax). Maybe it's Harry you like, and not JK Rowling....

Mostly it's that I like the Marauders. Harry's generation is less favorable. Except Draco, Fred, George, and Luna. Um. Yeah...

Ohmigosh, Congratulations!

That's the problem with Harry Potter - so many people think that they're kids' books or somehow anything less than a class, but that's totally wrong. It's literature, dammit! I was lucky enough to be a fan before Pottermania swept the globe, so I never had to confront having met someone how had read it when I hadn't yet ( ... )

^_^ *throws party*

I was lucky enough to be a fan before Pottermania swept the globe,

I was like that with Tolkien. I caught the tail end of the bit with "we are l33t intelligent Tolkien geeks, you have to be *smart* to get these jokes", and then all of a sudden people were doing stupid Gollum impressions five ways from Sunday. x_x It hurt....

Well, ATM I'm shipping Hermione/Ginny in particular, and Sirius/Remus (because <3). I'm open to most good stories, femslash being a current list-header right now. I'm not a big fan of teacher/student--just a slight edge of SQUICKY AAAAA there--but I'll read just about anything else, provided it's well-written.

Haha! I want to see that video! Where is it? XD

And the following grows...

*patpats her Harrykins and Sirius darling*

And her slashed babies--Seamus/Dean, Marcus/Oliver, Viktor/Cedric.

Seamus/Dean, Marcus/Oliver I get, but Viktor/Cedric? *puzzlement* Kay, when do they ever even have a conversation? Explain!

It's one of those wonky relationships you discover yourself liking! Same for Viktor/Oliver (must be a quidditch thing), haha. Yay for obscure 'ships!

OH MY EFFIN GAWD!!!!

I knew that deep down inside you were a HP fan! (and I know that even deeper inside you is a Draco/Hermione shipper waiting to be unleashed [or Lucius/Hermione. That is also hawt])

I'm sure you will enjoy jumping into the depths of the (arguably) most expanse, fanatical fandom the Internet has to offer.

A Word of Warning: Stay out of the Ron/Hermione vs. Harry/Hermione shippers debate. They will kill you. I, an unbiased Draco/Hermione shipper (I love my slightly kinky unrealistic ship. leave me alone), find that they contain some of the most fanatical shippers in the world.

You strike me as a Snape/SOmeone or Lucius/Someone shipper. Perhaps Snape/Lucius....?

Lucius/Hermione WTF? O_O Aesthetically it works, I suppose, but...er...what about the emotional bits, and the fact that he's a Death Eater, and that whole deep-seated bitter hatred thing? *wonders*

Ahh, yes, I have known that for a long time. I refuse to make an official statement on the subject but if I had to choose I'd go with Ron/Hermione. I much prefer Hermione/Ginny and possibly Draco/Ron. :D

SNAPE/LUCIUS OMFG MY BRAIN SHE IZ DED. *fans self copiously*

YAY!
*closet Ginny/Hermione shipper*

Deep seated bitter hatred makes for unbridled passion and hawtness!! Tsk, tsk....

Snape/Lucius is death for me...since I am an obsessive Alan Rickman and Jason Isaacs fangirl (C'mon...I BOUGHT Passionada)

Heh. I read and liked the first few - up to, IIRC, Order of the Phoenix, which was sufficiently annoying that I haven't read any further. (I don't care if Rowling was trying to reproduce believable Teenage Angst; why would I want to read about that? Besides, I have a rule about how many times a book can make me want to slap a character upside the head before I toss it across the room and vow Never Again.)

To be fair, I'm told the series gets better again after that book; I just haven't felt inclined to pick any of them up since. :)

:D I'm having the same experience with Order of the Phoenix at the moment, but the same people who told me to hang in there when Book 1's pedantic sophomorism was causing extreme pain are telling me that he eventually grows out of his teen angst, and their advice the first time was very sound. Although, yes, he is being rather an idiot. :)
