Part One: The BeachAs mentioned, yesterday I went swimming at the beach with Tasha. I tried to teach her how to do backstroke but I just ended up splashing her in the face a lot. After all the exercise, we decided to lay in the sun. I had a few harsh words with my skin upon realizing that after an afternoon in the sun I hadn't changed colour at all ( Read more... )

That's because we are movie stars in our hearts!

I missed swimming SO MUCH. Lake water has nothing on the Atlantic, though!

That sounds like such a wonderful trip! When would you plan on going? I'd imagine the ocean is probably much too cold for swimming still. You should go in July when it's warm, but before the jellyfish get too bad. Or else bring a fearless companion with a good arm who can pick up the jellyfishes by the tops and throw them far, far away from you.

You both have great bathing suits! I still haven't found a suitable beach bathing suit :(

Count me in for the birthday picnic!! That's the weekend my mum is coming up but I'm sure I could at least come out for a few hours so keep me posted with the details.

Bathing suit shopping is really the worst. I'm not terribly fond of mine but it was the best I could come up with and it was cheap. The only remotely flattering ones I've been able to find are always $200+, which is just silly.

Oh, Jill. I'm so glad you'll be able to make it, even if only for a while. It's been so long since I've seen you! And hey, your mum can always come along too if she likes!

I know!! It would have been $20 except the cashier was a dummy and didn't charge me for the bottoms. Oh well! I would usually feel so guilty that I'd go back, but I was like "I don't feel bad about Sears losing money. Not my faultm, and I'm sure they can afford it!".

But eww, cute nothing. Can you not see how pasty my legs are?
