thanks for posting your paper on LJ because it was a real stimulant for me. i really enjoyed reading that while at work since i sit in front of the computer and answer phone calls all day.
i always wondered why they'd use blue liquid to represent menstrual blood. that is deceiving enough and it really created confusion for me when i was a youngin'.

My thought is that they use blue because it distances us from the "real" functions of our bodies. Red or yellow or green would be "gross" because they seem too plausible as "actual" discharges. Blue just looks like windshield washer fluid!
