Boys don't make passes...

Someone stole my bike! I left it locked outside for an hour, and when I went back to retrieve it it was gone! If anyone in Montreal sees someone around on a blue cruiser with reflective hearts all over it, please PUNCH THAT PERSON IN THE THROAT! This sucks. Someone please take me bike shopping in the morning, because even though it was in rough ( Read more... )

I think if they'd maybe had a smart girl or two on their advertising committee, they might've also noticed the spelling error!

Oh, it's real. They have about six signs with various quotations from celebrities. I was going to march on over once they opened in the morning to give them a piece of my mind, even! But now finding a bike is the priority.

If I ever see Julianne Moore or the person who took my bike, I will punch them squarely in the nose.

Passive resistance might've worked against the British Empire, but I think bike theives are a force greater than us, my friend.

after i go for my MORNING (afternoon?) RUN, i'll totally go bike shopping with you. perhaps we can also go HELMET and BIKE LIGHT shopping as well!

also, beautiful stencil! i was just thinking today that along with my nerdy desire to rustle up an "APPETITE FOR DECONSTRUCTION" shirt, i'd really like to make at least a patch or a button that says "INTERPELLATE THIS!"

that's what i'd like.

hey, ever take a step back and be like, "wait a second, how is that (nietzche's moustache) even -real-?"

You're seriously the best! I honestly think I may require moral support. Also guidance beyond "awww, adorable, I want this one!", which is my actual level of technical expertise. So thank you times a zillion. Really. Also, yes to bike light shopping. Yes.

Also- the saddest part of it all is that last night I made a Deleuze & Guattari spoke card to test out your idea, and now a) we will NEVER KNOW whether it actually holds up b) whatever jerk took it will obviously never appreciate its brillance.

I thought you nixed the "appetite for deconstruction" shirt after you thought you might give false hope to Derridians? No? Either way, I like both ideas and let's stencil / screenprint sometime. Anyway, I definitely had many Pondering Nietzsche's Moustache moments while trying to wrangle my x-acto around it. I also had a lot of internal debate about If Friedrich Were Alive Today, Would I Date Him Yes Or No.

Also, this thunderstorm is amazing.

My bike was stolen the first year i brought it to Mtl. It was so frustrating and I actually broke down in tears when I found out!!
I bought a new one last year, a road bike, second hand for 50$. I'll go bike shopping with you on friday if you don't have a new bike by then! Around my house there are tons of bike shops! :)

My bike was second hand and only $100 (also covered in rust and squirrel bite marks!) so I don't get why someone would have taken it. Apparently poor condition does not deter theives! I actually wanted to replace it so I guess now I'll just have to do it sooner rather than later.

And if I don't have a new one by Friday I will let you know for sure, my dear! I'll start looking in my neighbourhood tomorrow morning, I think!

I got my bike stolen, too. I think EVERYONE I know in Montreal got their bike stolen at least one. I think we all should write stuff like "covered with aids" on them!

Yeah, it's a total Montreal livin' rite of passage. But a sad one!
