Question to those more experienced-

With LJ, that is ;)

How do I make my journal visible to friends only? Not that I think some psychos are reading this...but I'd just feel better that way.

It's the weekend, YAY!

There's a feature when you're updating your LJ, righ above the entry box that should have the choices of "Public" "Friends" and "Other" or something like that. But that's on an entry by entry basis. Otherwise I dunno ^_^

Also, when you modify your journal and stuff (where you set the colors and such) there is an option to make your journal friends only

(then you get to put a spifferiffic banner announcing it in your userinfo... and I can help you there ;) )

I just tried that...everything changed this week, and I don't see that option on that page!

To set the minimum security to Friends-Only, go to http://www.livejournal.com/admin/console/ and then type "set newpost_minsecurity friends" (without the quotemarks) in the field. That should set your default security to Friends-Only, and then when you want to make a public post, post it as F-O first, then edit it and re-set the security to public. Give me a prod if you need more explanation. :-)
