Ironic, really.

Utah is the land of green lawns, and it's a dry desert. Portland is lousy with water and brown lawns too!

I talked Linda into coming to Portland because the summers are so much cooler here. She was here during our string of 90s. It was cooler and wetter in Utah!

Oh, and it's not usually that green. It's typically quite brown and on fire by this time of year. It's been unusually cool and wet.

There is a sign at the Potato Museum in Blackfoot, Idaho, that reads, "Free Taters for Out-of-Staters."

I didn't know they toss them at your car as you drive by!
