Jump heights, tables, vultures and my ocd

USDAA's new jump heights, so damn disappointing. I understand there's no making everyone happy, but it is impressive how few people think these were good ideas.  More frustrating is being heard or maybe what I'd like is to feel acknowledged by USDAA.  I don't know, I feel tired and let down and I know I'm not alone.  And it doesn't even affect me, ( Read more... )

Oh, that Rich looks like a TOTAL PARTY. And I'm saying he'll be just fine, so don't worry about it. ;-)

Love, love, love the pack photo! Ha ha ha!!

The jump height thing is just so weird! I'll keep playing because I like USDAA.

Yeah, I can't imagine not doing USDAA, but I am getting increasingly uncomfortable supporting it. Just make the heights 10", 14", 18", 22", 26", Performance 4" lower and all cutoffs at the shoulder and be done with it. Sure some folks will still be unhappy, but it's uniform, logical and the precious "dogs may not jump lower than their shoulder" is protected.

I agree about making it logical and easy. I really wonder what he was thinking when he came up with this!

That pack pic is SO funny- really made me giggle. Hope things will be okay with Rich. He's looking really good! :-)

I don't get the USDAA changes either. It's like they didn't even listen to all the input. I cannot believe they did not extend the 21" cutoff to 22"! I love the venue...but it just keeps getting less attractive!

Thanks, the dogs are always good for making me laugh. :-)

I'm not sure if the decision makers at USDAA (aka Ken) are aware of how out of touch they are. Amazing how comfortable he can be with his head in the sand.

Really, the jump height changes are bizarre. My little PRT who is only about 10"-10.5" with short legs and long body has to jump 12" to run in Championship. She looks good at 8" and I'd happily run in Performance but there's no one else there. It's just me, all alone with no one else in my class. I really miss USDAA but I'm not gong to give them my money when they so blatently ignore the little dogs.
