Hullo!
Second job = Film Editor. I'm working for a small company that produces television shows for some of the channels over here. Right now we're working on some off-road truck racing show.
How was your summer? Are you back at uni yet? I'm soooo not caught up on peoples lives :( I'm a bad LJ friend :( ;)

Cool job - sounds both interesting and complicated! Do you actually watch them on TV when they go out or are you so fed up of them by then that you totally avoid them?
My summer is fine. I've actually graduated from uni now (got a 2:1 if that means anything to you) and am sending off applications for proper jobs. This is slightly more awkward than it sounds as I don't know what I want to do - I'm just cutting adverts randomly out of the paper and applying for anything that sounds even remotely interesting. I'm working part time at the pub again, and that'll tide me over while I try and find something full time. My parents aren't making me pay rent, so that's good :-)

I really like working at the pub - I don't watch sport (when the motor-racing's on, I find it depressing because I always miss the important bits!) but chatting to people is nice, feeling part of the area is nice and also, knowing that it doesn't matter what happens when I'm not there is nice - there's no such thing as overtime or anything, I don't have to think 'and tomorrow I will finish this and do that and then start the other' because it's all absolutely in the moment, so to speak. I do get OK tips though - what we do in our pub is, when anyone says 'take your own' we take 20 pence. This means that people say 'take your own' more often and we often get the minimum wage (which has to be 4.50 or more per hour as we all have to be 18 to serve alcohol) and then a good pound extra per hour, so it's OK. The advantage of the minimum wage is that even when the pub is completely empty we're still paid reasonably for being there, which I am grateful for, and we don't get sent home early or docked wages or anything
