I have basically zero in common with any of my family with the exception of perhaps my Dad, mainly because he is also a grumpy sarcastic that hates everyone. Other than that he mostly watches the History channel and reads Tom Clancy books. My mom is mostly normal now but a former meth addict that apparently committed arson a few times (perhaps a tragic meth lab blowup?) My (half) brother is a small town redneck whose idea of fun is shooting animals and living in a town barely larger than would probably fit inside my studio. My (other half) sister has two kids out of wedlock, an abusive boyfriend and farm animals.

I love them because they are my family and I know they would do anything for me but I also know that my idea of hell is having to spend the rest of eternity with them.

Meth is a hell of a drug. I watched a couple documentaries about it recently since that's what I do at work (and my work, don't get me wrong). My heart goes out to people who get hooked on it, but more their families since, yikes.

Man, I love my family so much, but I think we'd all be doing each other a favor by me moving far away from them.
