 I climbed into bed 2 hours ago and then climbed right back up because I couldn't handle the level of stillness required to actually fall asleep. So I got up, indulged myself with some wine and sad music and tried to write. I tried several attempts to write down something but nothing really seemed right and I deleted paragraph after paragraph. This past weekend was quite pleasant.  As I mentioned in my previous entry, my West Coast best friend, Jarrod, was in town visiting. I hadn't seen him since my birthday in August, and we had Christmas gifts to exchange, so it was very nice to see him.  So, I still have a job. Thank God. My three weeks of unexpected and unpaid Vacation came to an end on Monday. Even though I trust my boss I was afraid that I would come in on Monday to find that the orders came down from up high that they realized that they wouldn't be needing me anymore.  New Years Eve was fun,  I drank just enough to dance and sing (very bad) karaoke, but not enough that I woke up sans pants and couldn't remember how or when that happened.
