my hunger games review

I finished the last of The Hunger Games books late last night. Idiot. It wasn't even that great, I just had to finish it. The whole series reminded me a lot of Twilight, relatively simple with convenient plot twists and a plain teen girl who has only two options for her husband, ever. Then she picks the one who is unfalteringly devoted to her, duh ( Read more... )

Aww, I was going to read that after I finished Game of Thrones books. Hmmmm Maybe I'll wait.

What kinda books you dig? I know Chris has A LOT but he's a queermo that likes a lot of fantasy so I might have more variety. I will probably be getting rid of some of my books due to SPACE ISSUES and having a Kindle soo...

I may or may not be trying to lure you into my apartment.

(totally am)

Oh man, I would totally come to your apartment for books (or otherwise). I do not like fantasy, the house is inundated with it just in case I change my mind. I don't usually like books like The Hunger Games, so it says something that I read them in a week- I think you'd like them, and I need someone to actually talk about them with sooooo. (but, they're not my copies, otherwise I'd loan them to you)

yessss pretty lady. come over and look at my... boooooooks. hahahahaha! Name the date and time!

I like very little fantasy, I mostly have a lot (LOT) of horror, mystery, contemporary literature (I guess Chuck Palahniuk, Bret Easton Ellis, Cormac McCarthy stuff like that), funny non fiction, lots of creepy books about serial killers and forensics. I have a pretty varied selection!

I actually have Hunger Games on my Kindle, so maybe I will read them after all! George RR Martin is so heavy I need a break between books.

If you haven't read Let the Right One In yet, it's soooooooo good. It's a swedish vampire book and it's pretty amazing. Totally the opposite of Twilight, I must say.

LOL and the part where it doesn't matter that one of your options finds himself irresistibly attracted to your daughter.

You've finished school? I'm so jealous T-T still have lots of work to hand in.. bring on 6th June and it'll get a lot easier!
