So, it’s the 23rd of July, or so I believe, and I’m still at home. There is something severely wrong with this picture. EVERYONE is gone. And either going through orientation or already taking classes at college. Damn you Smith College for starting on the 8th of September ( Read more... )

Hey... I haven't been very active (or active at all) in the Smith livejournal community, so it might seem a little weird for a random person to be leaving a comment. But anyway... I'm also going attending Smith and have been feeling a lot of the same anxieties that you've mentioned (as I was browsing Smithie livejournals in fact). Rational thoughts haven't really alleviated my fears, but knowing that someone else is just as worried makes me feel better... not quite as silly. Maybe that will offer you some comfort too.

you'll be fine, bethie.
i'm in portland now, first day of orientation today. and i'm nervous as hell. but i visited campus for the first time ever yesterday and it was so grand.
you can do it. afterall, you made it through hereford. smith has to be much more your element.

and i'm a girl who thinks you're neat.

good luck with the waiting. all i know is that my last 10 days at home flew by.

totally hearing you on the worried-bout-becoming-alcoholic-like-my-father thing. *sigh*

basically i can relate to all of this. we should totally compare lists when we get to smith cuz, mine are just freakily amazing. ;)

You're only a floor and a few doors down from me so we will definitely have plenty of bonding time, especially when we are snowed in. I definitely can't wait to meet you in person. Haha I will bring the lists so that we can have a few good laughs after we are settled in.

Ah, Sarah, you always brighten my day sillyface. Thanks for always having my back, seriously. Are you gone yet? And are you ready for those Michigan winters?
