Yay you!
First for walking and second for keeping with it!
My husband and I are the same way with regard to Chol.
He is thin and has high Chol.
Not me!
We just got back from a long walk at the park.
Close to 4 miles and almost all hills.
Add hills when you can and you will see faster results in both weightloss and how strong you get faster.
Hugs!

My other half is six foot four and built like a whippet but has had high cholesterol all his life. Meanwhile, I am a very rounded and soft five foot two and my cholesterol is fortunately on the low side. It just goes to show that you never can tell. :D

So so proud of you and your hubby, Meegan. It's great that you are in this together and I can't wait to hear both your success stories. Woo! Go you guys!

The PE teacher at our school, a 30 yo former Marine who is well under his ideal body weight, totally buffed out, and incredibly athletic, found out the other day he has dangerously high cholesterol and blood pressure. The weird thing, he's only one of several men like that I know who are suffering from the same thing.

I think your post is an excellent reminder that everyone, no matter what they look like or how much the scale groans when they weigh in, needs to make their health a big priority every day of their life. I'm so glad you and your husband get to work on it together, and that you'll be able to support one another.
