I have no idea how you did this, but you put words on that feeling I had earlier !
Yeah, maybe you're right, and maybe we got a bit too excited about it since it's an episode in the middle of the season. Perhaps it was a choice they made, not making an impressive return but a casual Dethklok episode because of this episode's position.
I whole-heartedly approve with you. What it felt was that this Dethklok band wasn't the usual Dethklok. I mean, now that I re-think about it, they felt more like very superficial, very well-animated puppets cracking easy puss'n'dicks jokes... (the characterization was very far, indeed, from Fatherklok) It missed the dark humour and the inextricable fate the other episodes bore
( ... )
Haha yeaaaah, I know, but whenever I write a lot in English it makes me think in said language for the day, which is pretty unconvenient when you're a French person xD (last year ie, I spent too much time on the Interbutts and was strictly unable to speak French for days ^^; )
Well this guy doesn't know what he's talking about. It has changed !
Yus, we have to stay strong and believe we'll get back to classic Metalocalypse *_*
(...and if the episodes aren't satisfying enough, there's still the fandom to fill our fangirly needs x3)
Yeah, no I agree with you. I was really enjoying of what was in Season 3 so far but this episode just seemed like a huge filler and because it's now going for 25 minutes as to 11 it's a lot more dissapointing that they'd waste it on this plot rather than say 'Go Forth and Die'.
They seem to be writing for the easiest characters too. Toki and Murderface are funny enough, but they're not nearly as creepily layered and interesting as the other three, I'd really rather know more about Skwisgaar and Pickles for example. Also, is it just me, or has Toki and Skwisgaar's dialogue really lazy?
Haha, someone else who got disappointed by DethFertility ! (I know I shouldn't rejoice, but still...)
*lassoes you back*
Totally agreeing with you ! Somehow, it feels like they didn't want to spend much time thinking about a deeper plot. I dunno, it feels like it's been made in a rush, without really knowing where the fuck is this episode going.
Well Toki and Murderface have potential too, if they were to write them with a bit more depth. Even though a lot has been said about Toki's childhood and frustrations, there's still plenty of stuff to tell about him (how he became part of Dethklok, for instance). Murderface? He's under-exploited if you want my opinion. Not that I'm a huge fan of his, but c'mon, we barely know what he's been through.
That's it. I'm writing to Brendon, telling him we want a Murderface-centered episode. DAMMIT !
SO YOU TOO, YOU AMAZING PERSON, THOUGHT THIS ABOUT THEM? Jeez Louise, their English worsened... Never thought it'd ever be possible >,<
Well I gotta admit I don't know much about metal and all of its aspects (the only refs I got were in the S'n'B episodes soooo... yup, you are allowed to laugh), but Murderface has always stroke me as a Grindcore type of guy. Maybe more like a parody of Grindcore. Sure thing, if ever Murderface's background was to be revealed, it might turn him into a practical joke of what we've seen so far. But there's so little data about him in comparison to the others that it is worth the shot !
Hey thanks, though it seems my teachers tend to disagree with you xD
