A Nosh and a Slice

I'm reading a book set in NYC. And the writer keeps referring to having a "nosh" and "a slice."

You're the only person I know who uses those terms :)

I learned quickly that when you say you need a nosh ... YOU NEED A NOSH ... and there had better be a small snack nearby.
