I've been having a lot of moments lately where I sit back and really look at my life, or even just life in general. Normally it's the stars that unleash this slew of feeling and thought, but this time is different. This time, I was soaking in the rays of the sun, feeling the heat on my face, and you know what I realized? I'm blessed to be able to ( Read more... )

I really think it is. Especially because I know they'll always be there for me too. Hell, when I desperately needed to run away, hesmagicandmyth opened her door and took me in for two weeks. (At the end of two weeks, we looked at each other and decided that it wasn't anywhere near long enough.)

And Rachel is coming to see me next summer, and god I would love to go see her right now, but fuck is it expensive to fly from Vancouver to London. Last I looked it up, it was going to cost me $1500 for a round trip ticket, ack!

I have a friend who was trying to explain his love of his male best friend one night. He said, "He's my soulmate. There is no other word that explains it." I thought it was really beautiful that he loved his friend that much. And didn't care what anyone thought. We should all be so lucky to have someone like that. :)

That's exactly like some of the guys I know! They're destined to be together, but not necessarily anything more than in a platonic way.

And you know what? I kind of feel that way with my best friend. I would happily marry her, and even raise a family, so long as there was no sex in our relationship.

It's funny, you saying that. Recently, I've came to this conclusion myself. Like, right now, I am so in love with all of my friends, in the non-sexual sense, because there has never been anyone in my life that makes me as happy as they do.

I have friends I would do anything for, and I'm blessed to know they feel the same way about me. I get a stab of joy when they introduce me as their 'best friend', and I don't know what I'd do without them :)

That's exactly it!! I don't think a lack of sex should make the relationship matter any less than it does. In fact, the only healthy relationships in my life right now are non-sexual.

It's my favorite too, and I'm so glad I know so many people that feel that way.
