My question is why the hell wasn't this an unsportsmanlike call in the first place. What Avery did has nothing to do with playing hockey and was pretty much childish. He wouldn't even been able to get a rebound shot... dope.

I don't see why they needed to amend this in the first place, it was obviously unsportsmanlike conduct. I'm glad they got that cleared up though!
