There was a bit of controversy surrounding a recent prompt and the resulting fic. I received several comments from people who were very much disgusted by the idea, and they asked me to change the rules to specify that only human parings be allowed. Big thumbs up. I can imagine no fewer than four of the fics I've scanned in the thread "offending" someone. Maybe a lot more - heck, noncon of various sorts is all over the place! That's kinda the definition of kink, eh? A deviation from the norm.

I'd go so far to say that the 'warning' request is/should be an unnecessary accommodation, as well simply by virtue of the name of the meme and comm.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOUR DECISION IT WOULD BE UNFAIR, CENSORING, AND DISCRIMINATORY TO PROHIBIT ANY KIND OF KINK AND I'D GO SO FAR AS TO SAY THAT EVEN THE WARNINGS ARE UNNECESSARY!!

IT'S A KINK MEME AND IT'S PRETTY MUCH A GIVEN THAT NOT EVERYONE IS GOING TO BE INTO EVERY KINK! IF A READER CHOOSES TO READ IT IN FLAT VIEW AND DOESN'T BOTHER TO LOOK AT THE PROMPT BEFORE STARTING TO READ A FIC WELL THAT'S REALLY THE READER'S PROBLEM NOT THE PROMPTER'S OR THE WRITER'S AND IN MY OPINION REQUIRING THAT KINKIER OR MORE CONTROVERSIAL FICS HAVE A WARNING WHILE OTHERS DON'T IMPLIES THAT THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH THEM WHICH IMO THERE ISN'T IN THE SLIGHTEST!!

JUST MY OPINION THOUGH, ALL IN ALL I'M GLAD THAT YOU'RE NOT PROHIBITING ANY FICS!

I completely support this decision.

Also, I've noticed the work you've put into this comm in general with the index linking and comment clean-ups and things of that nature, so to whoever said "A+ modding" - I AGREE.

That actually IS a kink of mine, and thank you thank you for deciding that it should stay. Fic is one of the healthiest ways of exploring kinks - especially ones that are in the "fantasy" vein. Writing about beastiality doesn't mean you engage in it/want to explore it in real life. It's the fantasy element that can make things kinky and sexy for some. This is a great place for that, and I'm glad it is staying that way!
