Are there going to be any type of wrap-up posts with links to what has been written during the past week (along the lines of what anon_lovefest does)? Or should we just keep checking back with the prompt posts?
That will depend on how successful the comm is. There will definitely be some type of cataloging system for the filled prompts. It will either be housed here in the comm, or in a delicious account. The delicious option has a lot of advantages with tagging and search features.
Just curious, and I'm pretty sure it'll come up. Are people allowed to post links to the fic on their journal if it's a longer fic? I'm assuming *not* from the way you've described it? Another issue I've seen similar comms address is, assuming the answer to the above is no, is there an amount of time you want the fic to be exclusive to this comm (in other words, must be posted only here for a week, then can be posted on people's journals, etc.)
I wanna ask this, too, 'cause if I particularly like something I write, I usually post it on my own journal as well as the comm, or post it on my journal and link to it in the comm.
Yeah, this has come up in other comms. I am going to make a post clarifying the rules tomorrow, and I will address this then. Thanks for bringing it up.

these questions might already have been answered - and I may be stupid, but I just need to clarify
- once a reply/fic has been posted in response to a prompt does that mean that prompt is closed or can there be multiple fics (from different suthors) for any individual prompts
- how long do the prompts stay open for - is it just a week? - or do they stay open for responses indefinitely

Multiple people can fill the same prompt. The idea is to generate as much fic as possible, and sometimes two people have very different takes on the same prompt.
Prompts will stay open indefinitely. Even after a new post is made, people can still fill prompts on old memes. Eventually I would like to set up a delicious account to tag everything, and that will help with being able to find recently posted fic even if it was on an old prompt.
