Quick Question that may have been answered but exhaustion is set in:

This for any fandom kink/trope right? Not just like porn but h/c or angst or whatever? Like in the spirit of the Star Trek kink meme. Most of the prompts thus far seem to be focused on the porn aspect which is why I'm asking.

Yes, this is for anything, not just porn/kink. I'm going to make a post clarifying the rules later today.

Hey, IDK if this is possible, but would you consider maybe recruiting a few noble volunteers to destroy their inboxes by tracking the entire post, and then tweeting links to new stories to eg a shared twitter announcement account, or to a separate post?

Or actually maybe just a separate post for each meme where people could only post links to their responses? Something like this, anyway, to keep stories from getting missed. just a thought!

That's... actually a really good idea. I'm hoping to eventually get everything tagged on a Delicious account. I've used them before with other fic memes and they're really easy to use for browsing and searching for filled prompts, but that will be a lot of work and probably not something I commit to doing until it's clear that the community is a success. In the meantime, I think having a periodically updated post of indexed, filled prompts is a great idea.

I've actually set up a delicious for myself to track this, just so I don't lose any of the fic written here. It's at http://delicious.com/ai_kinks and it's totally a-ok with me if we want to use that as the community delicious, even if just until an official one is made.

Seconding this! A new post with links to new ficlets, maybe every couple of days / once a week / something would be really neat!

Or just separate prompt and submission posts. :)

what the heck is the best way to follow along here? do i have to scroll thru all the pages each time?

Yeah, it gets a little tricky to navigate when the meme gets big. For now, the best way to follow along is to use the flat view feature. You can click here or also click at the bottom of the meme where it says 'VIEW FLAT'. This will show you each comment in the order it was received, so there are no comment threads. So lets say you know you have read through page 30 in flat view. When you come back, you then only have to read the new pages after page 30. This is an awesome way to see what's new, but it can be hard to follow threads this way, but if you ever want to know what a comment was in response to, you can click at the bottom of the comment where it says 'Parent'.

Eventually we will get everything coded on Delicious, and that way you can see everything by date - it's easy to find the new stuff that way, but as it's a lot of work, we are not quite there yet.

In the meantime, I have created a filled prompt index, which I will be updating periodically. I just posted the first version hereHope that helps! Let me know if you're ( ... )

I filled one of the prompts, and it accidentally turned into a series. Do I keep posting it here, or should I pack up its boxes and move it to kradam_ai?

That is entirely up to you. If you do decide to move it to kradam_ai, it would be great if you could post a link as a reply to the prompt when you're finished the series so we can tag it with the original prompt.
