I went to my first ever oil painting class last night at the adult education center in White Rock. It was fun and I was the youngest person there by at least 30 years, thankfully we are all retired and obsessed with our aches and pains - so, we had a lot in common ( Read more... )

Thanks for the kind words - I did try, but painting is not nearly as easy as I thought it would be.

I have really grown to hate this painting over the last week - I think I didn't like the original photo, so it creates a problem for me to try to work on the painting.

I think in my version, I was subconsciously trying to make it look like less of a potato.

Wait till you see my Johnny Depp portait, he looks like Santa.
