We had our own SuckFest yesterday. Drove 700 miles to get home and about 250 miles of it was in a blizzard. Driving in snow doesn't bother me too much but driving in a whiteout leaves much to be desired. We got flagged down twice on the trip by stranded travelers who were very glad to see us. Pulled one car from a snowbank near Wells, NV, and another out of a ditch (they missed an offramp and slid over the side) near Battle Mountain, NV. Driving a large 4X4 with Off Road tires and having huge towhooks with lots of chain and a winch has it's advantages. I didn't mind helping at all but I did mind freezing my ageing ass off in 40 mph wind and blowing snow. Couldn't leave those folks to freeze tho. ;)

People here can not drive in rain, snow is something that completely baffles them - they are all out there flooring it/spinning their wheels and wondering why the car won't go. Little foreign cars against 2 feet of snow...I think we know who is going to win. As I watched 3 different people get stuck beside my house and have to call tow trucks, I did helpfully giggle (I have no 4x4, so I did the best I could). ;)

I guess when you've been in published material you ARE famous. Especially when it's something NOT published by law enforcement! But I would guess that you are very non-atypical in every way. Here where I live, in southwestern Pennsylvania, it's deer hunting season and the deer hunters are disappointed with the weather. It's been in the 60's with yesterday and today up to 68 degrees!! It's unreal. HURRAY for global warming I say !! Let's all go out and burn some styrofoam cups from McDonalds and open up that hole in the upper atmosphere a little wider. Soon Pennsylvania may be a tropical paradise!
Great site ! Kool girl !
See ya later.

I was in Time magazine, too (June 26, 2000 - pages 60-61)....it's almost BETTER than a textbook. Also in a few newspapers in the UK - but this was all back when people were amazed by the technology/idea of webcams, I think that is mostly over now because everyone has one. :)
I don't understand why we can't get some of the global warming over here - it is 23 today and it is snowing again! I know all about the unseasonably warm weather on the East Coast from my sisters who live in NYC and are keeping me up to date with how cozy they are while I am trapped in the house by mounds of snow.
Take care and thanks for stopping by!

I really think you need to bring back freak of the week. Maybe that would cause the textbook to get an update ;-)

I think everyone is more internet savvy now and they generally have learned that not every female on the internet is eagerly waiting to exchange naked pictures or be their girlfriend. That's definitely a good thing, although I do miss the laughs.
