I am glad for Trozzort's post. Now I know what my family is up to today. It is nice that I can use LJ since I can't send e-mails out from here. I'm glad to have hi-speed internet, but for some reason my e-mails bounce back. It may be my settings but I suspect Road Runner won't let this hotel's internet access system by the spam protection. I've been spending a lot of time chatting with torontarians and other canadians recently. I hear it was -23C there yesterday.. can you try this link to get at your mail?

yes.. family events via web sites.. you get used to it. :) and IMs from the same house.

TO is very much liberal. and you talk to a lot of people and they seem almost indifferent.. 'thats just the way it is.'

ah, i do want to visit toronto again.. some good friends there.

That is -8F. I don't find it that bad if I don't go outside, though {and I didn't}.

I couldn't use the link...don't know the password.

The people are actually much nicer than a lot of U.S. cities.It's their
media and government I find distressing.

last year this time I went outside between the airport and my car and i nearly froze.. that's with about a foot thick of winter coats, gloves etc.. Thought #1: 'people actually LIVE here? no..' By God's providence they were out of sportscars and i had to settle for a 4x4.. which helped when going up and down icy roads in the mountains, where I had to ( ... )

Dad, you can send email through http://www.webmail.carolina.rr.com if you sign in with your username (mcj) and whatever your password is. The only thing is... webmail is picky about timing out if you take too long to type, so I'd suggest you typing the emails up in a text doc or in Outlook and then pasting it (copy/paste) into the email after you've logged into webmail. I can help you with this stuff when you get home tomorrow too.

You are supposed to already have a virus protection program installed. It is the McAffee program. Be careful coming home and I love you!
