*hugs* I love you.

Sometime, you need to watch the movie "Committed". There is a point where the lead character gives some money to a homeless junkie who is trying to break into a car. The ending would make you smile.

I would have given her money, too. And probably called shelters for her, etc.

I probably should have offered to give her a ride, too. that thought actually came to me in the split seconds before el paranoia came sweeping in to take over the place. i guess this is live and learn, but i really hope it's not one of those "hard learned" lessons in the end. i'll have to check for that movie - a smile is a wonderful thing to get gratis...
:)

love you, too, sweetie:)
miss ya.

you know, the dog sign isn't a bad idea...hmm. although my preference would be a "Cave Canem" sign, but i think that would negate the point. ;)

but thank you for the verbal shoulder pat. i'm feeling rather stupid still.

and on a completely different note, MAN the end of March is coming fast!! I'm so looking forward to seeing you and your Kim on the big day:)
yay!

I hope she wasn't someone scouting you. If you still want to help people and don't want them in your house, I think it'd be acceptable to ask them to just wait outside for a minute if you want to give them assistance.

I take it as a sign that you've not given up on humanity. For that, much love to you. *hug*

I hope not, too. and you said exactly what Rafe said when i told him, albeit not with the scowl. i don't blame him for being annoyed with me - it's a little beyond a simple "d'oh!" moment. :(

but in spite of myself, no, i haven't given up on humanity. i figure there's enough of the good ones (like yourself and any number that i find myself lucky enough to count as friends) that haven't given up on -me-. it's the least i can do to give our species a fair shake in return...

and much love to you, too, pretty lady:)
it's been a looooooong time since i've seen you! are you planning on visiting any time soon? you're always welcome, you know.

You know, as I've said many times in the past, you friggin' rock, Pe-tah! :)
i like that line of thought. i'm going to force-feed it to the ole' paranoid brain and see what shakes out from there.

give your chica a big hug for me and take one in return on my behalf, will ya?
be well, sweets.

Sigh. It can be hard to know when people are genuine. But doing good is really the only way to change the world. Kindness...compassion... you are so full up with them that sometimes they spill out.

Love you sweetie.

And I'd go with the 'beware' sign as well.

awww, thanks. i'm also full up with goo! it's a good thing -that- doesn't come spilling out, eh?
:)

and i think that maybe a beware sign -will- be a way to go...i think they sell them at the home depot, which, conveniently enough is near where i work.

i think to avoid being too suspicious, i'll wait a day or 2 before putting one up.

love you, too, hon.

give your sweetie a hello and a hug from me, too.
