I've been doing a lot of work on the ol' costume of late. I can only assume this means I really, really want to go a-pirating again soon. My frock-coat is now a much better colour and I have a new pair of boots! I'm working on a less ostentatious hat as well so I only subtly show up any captains, rather than the usual "he must be a captain, look at that hat!" thing that usually happens.

Working on your costume??!!

I thought you were being ill!
All this time you've been tucked away secretly perfecting your pirate look just so that you can show the rest of us up with your fantastic new togs!
Curses, I shall have to get my knitting needles out and get going if I'm going to be able to finish my new tricorn by June...

Well, I've only been doing a bit here and there - dying my frockcoat the most amazing shade of dark blue, making the new tricorn, new gloves, bought new boots for £20 and with the old flaps (no, not those old flaps Flick! Put 'em away lass!) I've been using for years bolted on they go all bucket-toppy and look like a pair I saw advertised for £185! I found a good belt-buckle in Peacocks but the faux leather belt isn't fairing well! I also discovered something that pleased me no end - my massive & ostentatious baldrick buckle has always seemed, well...massive & ostentatious to me. I've been looking for a replacement. But while hanging around the PotC section of the Disney Store (talking pens, me hearties!!) I noticed a picture and an action figure of Jack Sparrow wearing the exact same buckle on a belt! Well if it's good enough for him..! And I've had mine years longer than he has ( ... )

At www.burntisclean.co.uk

Go to the events page and download the latest flyer. e-mail Simon at TheEarl@BurntisClean.co.uk
Next event is August, but places are very limited and it's real popular so booking is absolutely required.

Did you enjoy the music to the trailer? - it always makes me think of you.

If you wanna go you need to book this far in advance as there really are limited places and it's very popular indeed. All for good reasons.
It's very involved and there's loads to do and more than enough plot for one weekend, so it's a full on weekend. Fully catered and entertainment included in the price.
A deposit of £20 is enough to secure a place.

Good Gods - we thought you were a gonner!

Folks are planning to go to Shards in April, and there is Burnt Is Clean in early August. I imagine the Dithering will attract the harcore Apple fans, as would Maelstom.
No gossip, nothing to see here - move along...

Welcome back lad.

As I'm coming up to 40 I have opted to grow up (a little) and have bought a house and moved in with the girlfriend...
