The flight from hell

Jan 12, 2006 18:15

So I'm finally in Montreal for my little 10 day business trip. The flight from Philly to Montreal was pure hell. It's only a 70 minute flight, but good god I didnt' think it would ever end. I ended up sitting next to a talker. Normally, these people are nice enough and if I'm not working or really engrossed in my book, I'll talk to them. The ( Read more... )

Yeah, I don't know how it happens ... but psychos love me. I can only hope that my return trip is just a little better :)

Montreal is good, I haven't had a chance to see much of it other than the hotel and plant. We're actually in Pointe Claire which is about 10 miles from downtown. Tomorrow afternoon and friday we're going to go downtown and to Old Montreal which should be a lot of fun. I think that I may hit up the city by myself on Sunday. There's a few yarn stores I want to hit up, and I'd really like to relax in a cafe with a good book and glass of wine.

How's your Go tournament??

Or, "I see the mistake you've made. You've confused me with someone who won't beat your ass."

Yeah, normally I'm pretty good at deflecting weirdos. I've travelled enough for business that I've picked up a few tricks. But this guy wouldn't take the hint!

Thats when you get up to use the bathroom and tell the steward that your seat partner is making you uncomfortable and rather than cause a sceane your just going to sit ....

or you turn to the man and say "Im very sorry to cut you off but Im starting to get a migraine from the pressure change - Would you mind if we stoped talking now?"
