I need a giddy icon.

I now own ALL seasons of The West Wing!  And I got SUCH a good deal on them too, thanks to a couple of friends who were looking out for little-old me.

I swore I'd never do this... but my mood warrants one of these.

*squee*

I love this show.  I was hooked from episode one, because a) One of my favourite writers, Aaron Sorkin ( Read more... )

YAY! All SEVEN seasons?!?! Really?!?!? I am so happy for you! I need to *SQUEE* with you. (I know, doesn't that seem like a totally immature and insanely stupid word? But honestly ... I make that noise when I'm really happy or excited about something, too, so ... yeah. Call me immature!).

Did you go back with your mom today? And they had restocked?? That is SO freakin' cool!! That's a whopper of a deal, it seriously is. What were they normally, like $60 each? Yikes. You got a total deal. See any of my (numerous) shows there?? I'll have to check it out, 'cuz there are some shows I've been waiting on, and that are super, super, super exensive (Season Two of The L Word, I'm looking at you! Best Buy Canada doesn't even LIST you on their site, but I know they had the first season for about $80 last time I was there...).

And for that certain someone who was waiting for me to get the final seasons, you're more than welcome to borrow from my library anytime. It's the least I can do for a great friend.Aww ... that's me, right? Right? I'm ( ... )

Yay me! Yup, we went back today to "pick up a few things", and I had to go and check... I didn't think they'd have anymore, because that's Costco for you... I didn't see them right away, but they were right there and they had every season. I hemmed and hawed for about 3 nanoseconds, my mom told me I'd be crazy not to buy them - as did the older couple in the DVD section too. They said they bought the series back when it first came out (at like $70 a set!) and love watching them over and over again. So I got them. *happy sigh ( ... )

It's so weird that they're all different styles ... or, well, some are the same and some different. That kind of upsets me. I'm like Melissa in that way, and I want things to all match. It also seems like "back in the day" they did DVD sets differently, and then switched. Like my Bones DVDs ... the first season had the slimcases, but those damned double sided discs (hate those). The second season was better, with the single sided discs in the cases. But from the outside of the box, they look the same - so that's nice.

I know when I got my Dark Angel DVDs, they were those fold out ones, and one season was missing the booklet with the episode guide. Because they were 2/$25 at Wal Mart, I thought maybe that was the reason - but I took the season back and had the girl open another box - which was also missing the booklet. Who knows what happened there. I'm sure there was one, because there is a spot for it, but ... oh well. I just printed up my own episode guide and labeled which eps were on which discs. But the fold out style is rather ( ... )

When they are all in their boxes, they look the same. Different pictures on the outside, and each box is a different colour, but other than that, pretty identical. Which is why I was surprised when I found out they were seperated differently. Like my ER ones and my Grey's Anatomy ones, most of the seasons are in the fold-out form. Which is annoying, but like I said - I can't really complain ( ... )
