Another LJ Anniversary and I find my last post was the bittersweet one I had posted for the 20th anniversary of joining LJ. Not much to add beyond I am happy the LJ is still here.

20 Years on LJ
So, I just got an email telling me it was my 20th Anniversary of joining LJ, that seems both too long and not long enough. I really liked LJ back when I first started on the site but time and technological change caused me to move on. But I still have fond memories of my early days here.

At the Jack Vance Official Website you can get the Chasch, first book of the Tschai - Planet of Adventure series for free in ebook format (and a ton of his books as ebooks too). Certainly worth grabbing as Vance's culture building skills are phenomenal. -

The Eighth Doctor
Got the Fox/BBC Doctor Who movie for Christmas and watched it last night, much better than I remembered but still not great. McGann would have made an excellent Doctor, shame that the plot of the movie was so very weak. Still, surprised to see how much of the movie was incorporated into the New Who. -
