I am at home with pneumonia. Well, we think it's pneumonia. The doctor said I have all the clinical signs of pneumonia and the chest x-ray looked a bit off, but it was inconclusive. Apparently this is not uncommon, as some people (particularly asthmatics like me) will start showing symptoms of pneumonia before it's really detectable on a chest x ( Read more... )

We're going to Europe. It is hard to plan. We have 16 days and are flying into and out of Frankfurt (going over the pole and thus cutting an 18-hour journey into a 9-hour journey). Because I'm boring. Also, I have a sinus infection, which is kicking my ass. It doesn't help that I get a fever at around 2 every morning (my doctor says this is not uncommon in sinus infections -- something about how lying down causes the fluid to pool and cause temporary septicemia) so I don't sleep well.
