Let the countdown begin!
Twelve days until I leave for my much anticipated cruise. The last formal vacation I had was a year and four months ago, so I'm way overdue. I always seem to run out of clean something towards the end the cruise, so I thought I'd try some new packing regime this time. For all you Bruce Campbell fans (I'm looking at you, Steve), his self-mocking movie will be available on DVD on Feb 10, 2009. I have added it to my Netflix queue. I think I'll be planning movie watching party. -
Indignant political rant
Am I the only American who thinks that Blagojevich senate appointee Roland Burris is a craven and despicable political opportunist? When every other politico in Illinois had the temerity and decency to stay miles away from the embattled governor and this tainted appointment, this guy runs up yelling 'Pick me! Pick me!' My Favorite Movie
I just finished watching The Hudsucker Proxy via Netflix streaming. Have I mentioned its one of my all time favorite movies? Besides the light hearted tone and marvelous homage to the period films of the time, I have to say, it is one of the most effectively scored screenplays I can recall. I've had a very odd work schedule these past two weeks:- Dec 22-23 (Mon and Tue) working
- Dec 24-25 (Wed and Thu) work holiday
- Dec 26 (Fri) working
- Dec 27-28 (Sat and Sun) weekend off
- Dec 29-30 (Mon and Tue) working
