Some background. If you've been in the SCA long enough, you'll hear somebody batting around the phrase "Silveriwng's Laws", and perhaps quoting one or to of them. What they're referring to is a collection of aphorisms collected by Baron Steffan ap Cenydd of Silverwing. There's some wisdom in the list, but there's some foolishness, as well. Remind me to vent to you privately some time about #57. Along with my advice "Don't go 'freaking the mundanes' and then wondering why nobody will rent you spaces for your local event." is "Don't go writing satirical songs and stories mocking people and then wondering why their kingdoms hold bards in low esteem."

Re 9a--I thought he had a persona name similar to that, but it's been a while since I heard the name in question. The line is something I could almost picture him coming up with, but it doesn't *quite* seem to be him.
