Why must things suck so much?

Went to a pub quiz tonight. We came joint third on our first outing. Not too shabby (we got an extra point for the best name, too - "Gowan, gowan, gowan, gowan, gowan, gowan..." - not sure if anyone will get it, but hey) They messed up the prizes so we get a free round next week.
