Wow Alan, I definitely wasn't expecting this. I'm really glad I sent that email now, since I've really loved getting to know more about you outside of 5AG. Seeing just how involved you are with all the nerdfighters on Youtube has inspired me to try to become more involved too.

Also, I recently got my first piece of "fan" mail, which was an email from a nerdfighter who had seen my site and wanted advice about art schools. I sent back a (probably way too long) reply with basically everything I knew about it, since it made me really excited that someone valued my opinion enough to want to ask.

So the moral is...subscribe to me. No, it's basically what you said, that the people you think are famous are just people too and they might be as flattered to get the email are you are excited to get a reply.

i sent fan mail to Adam Lamberg (the lizzie mcguire guy) and daniel radcliffe and recieved autographed photos from both of them with a short response. it was such a good feeling to recieve a reply. mail is so personal, to quote blue's clues, "here's the mail. it never fails. it makes me want to, wag my tail. MAIL."
i enjoyed this blog^_^ you've inspired me to write more fan mail!
