Today is the Bluenose Marathon in Halifax. It's this huge thing.... and part of the track goes right outside my apartment building. The track attracts a lot of attention... so there are fans cheering and a drink station with workers... and a huge music system somewhere (I can't quite see) that is blasting crappy dance mix music ( Read more... )

Just to throw this out there for good measure...

Mary decided not to work this week either.. thus not finishing her two weeks notice. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get a server for a weekday morning without notice... especially during exam time.

As a result...

I worked for 10 hours today.

Alas so my fancy holiday weekend is over. It was awesome. I slept in every single day but still did most things on my list. If it weren't for a few unfortunate issues (receiving not one.. but two messages from Smitty's asking me to cover peoples shifts.. and my computer crashing)... it would have been perfect ( Read more... )

Also... This holiday now also includes Drag Shows.

During the rehearsal for Cinderella tonight one of the cast members had his car broken into. That, along with my wallet being stolen... my friend being sexually attacked at a party.. Nicks car being vandalized... and the information I get from the Metro on my break every day at work has led me to officially decide that Halifax is the only place I' ( Read more... )
