Okay, I think I can see why you're not fond of this one - it's certainly unsettling.

But still, a part of me is going, "EEEEEEEEEE!! DEM FINGS WHAT COMES IN FOURS!" (phrase by Detritus, translation by Vimes: forebodings) and believes that this is awesome. No happy endings, too many questions, and a complexity that is both painful and yet very accurately rendered.

that is the best thing about the arthurian legends: no happy endings, which is why i loved 204 as it had a sort of pervading gloom about it. you can't write fluffy fic after that! thanks for the comment! x

You really are a genius, aren't you? The perfect companion to 204, as it captures the mood of that episode perfectly, while adding a rather eerie atmosphere as Guinevere's thoughts circle the future she doesn't know is coming. It's those little elements of foreshadowing, so subtly woven into the plot, that really attract me to your writing style ( ... )

gosh, thanks for the wonderful comment! foreshadowing the future is one of my favourite things about writing for this fandom - even the fluffiest fic can be slightly doomladen as well all know what's going to happen. and i took lancelot to be the present and arthur to be the future.
but so much love for your comment. i got such an cheesy smile on my face =)

This is hauntingly beautiful in the same painful way that Malory's concise recounting of events is. Your characterization is both canon and legend accurate and the manner in which you write your prose is fluid and picturesque. A very lovely piece.
