Why is there this conception that men can't handle words like cervix? I don't even like those parts and have nothing to say but I hope you're wrong about something being Wrong and enjoy your socialized health care.

I don't necessarily think men can't handle words like cervix. I think it more that most of the males on my f-list would just prefer not to know, if that makes sense.
And yeah. I'm hoping nothing is actually wrong, but repetition of symptoms makes me think otherwise.
God and I have a funny relationship, but I'm definitely praying that nothing is wrong.

The great irony is that I've posted this before even discussing it with my husband, and his lack of knowledge about female reproductive systems and functions is partly refelctive of why I put stuff about my personal health behind cuts. Then, I put almost everything about my personal health behind cuts.

Not yet.
Didn't want to drag the toddler along with me to the dr, so the first chance I get is Monday.
I'm not due for another smear until my birthday (3 weeks time, approximately), but I figure that I better go in a few days early - for me, the spotting for no apparent reason is the biggest indicator that I should do something sooner.

a few days can make a big difference, if only to your own mental health.
I'll be thinking of you

My college roommate used to get ovarian cysts; she described her pain & symptoms exactly as you did.

thanks, PJ. not so worried about it now, just have to wait for results - and they seem to take forever!
