This morning, I went to class without a hat on. I didn't wear too much warm clothing because the greenhouse is really hot, and I thought the fifteen minute walk there wouldn't be so bad ( Read more... )

Last week I was looking at an internship in Alaska, and I looked up some website...it was either the park's website or information on how to GET there once one got off the plane in Juneau, and there was a little "Weather right now" thing. It was DEFINITELY warmer in Kodiak Island, Alaska, than it was in New Brunswick, NJ.

That happened to me today, too! I took my dog for a walk and as long as it wasn't windy, I felt great. The sun was shining, I had my coat on, all was good. I found it weird as well. Of course, once I got in the warm house I had to peel everything off right away b/c I felt like I was slightly overheating. Crrrazy.

Me too! I think the jacket I have has down in it, because it's really warm and I keep finding little feathers stuck to me or around the apartment. Whenever I get inside a building I'm furiously tearing off layers--first I unzip my coat like it has itching powder or something in it, then I tear off scarf #1, then sloooooowly remove my hat so as not to mess up my hair, then remove scarf #2. Eventually, I'll remove one of my shirts (because I always have on at least two, either two long-sleeved or one long-sleeved and one sweater and sometimes a tank top underneath all of this.) My gloves already came off once the building of my destination was in sight.
Also, they really overheat some of these buildings!
