We are fine here, except for a few little things being checked out. Linda went today to get checked for her throat via an endoscopy. Seemingly checked out OK.

As for me, my eye that had the detached retina has OK sight but it never really went back to the way it was before.

Sadly, Jenny's cat Magic has died today. They also have her brother Tony who is also 17 and in good health for a cat that age.

Magic has had issues lately, with her health, so it was not unexpected.

Our cat, Rosie, is enjoying being home. Still a very messy eater, but has been cleaning herself and is improving. Can definitely see, whereas the vet ( Read more... )

We've brought Rosie home from the vet this evening. She's in a big dog crate/cage in the conservatory now ... wondering if there's any way to get out. Quite active, and has eaten. Still a messy eater though ... Obviously hoping that being home will help her get back to normal.

Vet called. This is a summary of what he said.... She's a little bit better than Monday. Not eating enough but being given hob calorie food. It's needing to be supplemented. She is losing weight. Still having drops in her eyes. He's not sure that she can see as there could be nerve damage. We think that she can. She's drinking and peeing ( Read more... )

We went to see Rosie and she looks so much better. Vet says she's eating and drinking by herself, but still messy. He's not sure whether or how well she can see but I think she can, at least out of her left eye.

She seemed pleased to see us. She looks much better. She had to have an enema to empty her bowels, but managed to poo afterwards on her own ( Read more... )

Rosie still not eating by herself although took a tiny bit by syringe. Has pulled her drip line out overnight, so may have to be sedated to have it put back in. Seems in good form and purring when petted. Xx

The vet called tonight. X-rays done. A lot of bruising. Might be a problem with jaw but it is hopefully nothing major. Tooth been shunted a bit. Nose injured too. They cleaned her up during sedation and he says she looks a lot better. Took an x-ray of chest and it seems okay. Injuries seem to be only to head.
