I guess you haven't seen the original King Kong, have you? There were dinosaurs in that one. The only thing I really didn't like about War of the worlds was that part at then end. I won't mention here because I don't want to ruin the movie for unsuspection readers but yeah. Too hollywood "awwww yay" for anotherwise well-done and frightening picture.
hmmm...yeah I think I wrote this too late (or early depending on the pov) and was thinking clearly enough to write more on it. For what it did for me (as video game type scary) it did really well...I just think Tom Cruise was overlooked by the aliens a few too many times. Like (I won't go into it either) there's a scene- its one of the few where I think he was being stupid with his daughter's safety- where he stands there with her in his arms a little too long and he ends up being the last of them running. Meanwhile people are being grabbed by the aliens at a pretty high rate. And also in the beginning of course, I don't think this is giving anything away, when he's running back to the house, he's the ONLY one running left(well apparently there's a black man and his daughter running too we don't see until they turn the corner, but you get the picture
( ... )
The tripods just hadn't gotten too far into Boston. Keep in mind that those machines were placed on the earth before there WAS a Boston. This isn't like Indepencence Day where the ships arrive over each major city.
yeah...and I hadn't thought of that, but they were high enough up that one could hit something for a long way in each direction, and the rest of the world was being hit too...it just seems implausible to me that New Jersey would be hit, but not Boston, which is like, a hop, skip and a jump away by train...let alone tripod. Plus, Boston people would be going crazy too cause I'm assuming (I don't remember if the newslady mentioned Boston) there'd be no news feed, no electrocity and weird lights in the distant sky, plus bodies would prolly float down the Charles. You'd think people would be herded to "safe havens" by the army people who were directing everyone to Boston, like in a hurricane. Although maybe they were told he and the daughter would be coming by the would-be army dude, so I guess you never know. Though by all rights that "dude" shouldn't be living...lol, I'm gonna go warn people who read this not to read comments cause I'm not very good at covering up my spoiler tracks.
...we both have the same person as number 1 on the list of people we'd have sex with. ^_^ Ahhhh... my daddy and I are supposed to go see War of the Worlds today. But I think he'd mad at me, so I dunno if we're going. And YES Maggie... all movie theather fry their chicken in holy water. Derf. Err... why does hair dye bottles always tell me my hair is supposed to be clean before I dye it??? I miss you writing entries like this everyday.
lol, I didn't know you wrote your list! *goes to check myspace* hmmm...maybe its just Massachusetts wackiness? Its only a matter of time till it reaches everything. Or the company...Garnier at least always says "dry, unwashed hair", so I assumed that was most companies since Garnier owns like, the world of semi-professional CVS brand hair dyes, but when I bought the napalm orange hair dye from Newbury Comics it told me to shampoo first, so go figure. And thank-you!!!! Lol, i was afraid everyone who clicked on the LJ cut would be scared away by how long the entry is and run far, far away never to return.
oh, I know isn't that great? The music is really good too...you can just sit back and relax and remember Lestat when he's in a pool of roses...lol, why is there no QOTD fanfiction?????????????
I love the music! Lol, I thought I was the only one who liked that movie! And as soon as I finished watching the movie the first time, I went on to Fanfiction.net to look for stories, and there wasn't any! I was so mad. And I still can't find any! Damn...I really need to rent the movie now...
