I just had the scariest thing happen. So it's just before 3am and I am sound asleep. Suddenly I hear a loud "WHAM!". I was not bashing him. I was expressing exasperation at what is going on right now. Steve and I have enough problems as it is that I don't need anyone starting more. It is so hard to concentrate at work when I know that next week is my last week. I've been wrapping up things, following up on old quotes, cleaning out my office. Guess what?! I accepted the job in DC! I flew there this weekend and went to visit the company on Monday morning. I took a tour of the place, met the people I had phone interviews with, and did a little bit of job shadowing. It seems like a really cool place to work, lots of young people. I got a job offer for the job in DC yesterday! I am so excited that it's hard to concentrate at my current job right now...or on anything else for that metter. Anyway, the offer is great. I feel great right now. I just had my fitness assessment at the gym. I dropped over 5% in body fat this last year!!! Frickin amazing!!! I improved in just about everything. My body age went from 28 (when I was only 23...ick) to...20!!! My sit and reach went from a very miserable 11.4 to a 16.1. I went from Poor, surpassed Fair and Average, and got ( Read more... )

So I got a call from my recruiter for a job in DC today. She told me that she spoke with both of the people who have interviewed me and they had nothing but good things to say. I just cashed in on my free drink. :) I had a great time with him. He seems like a really nice, genuine guy. I'm still not sure how old he is though. My rough calculations put him at about 31 or 32.
