gardening woes

I give up. I finally understand the way my grandma must feel when she makes something she's made for 60+ years without an issue, but which lately never turns out right. She's always saying, "It just makes me sick! I'm not making this again

I'm sorry for your plants. (You sound about as mad as when I went to war on the bugs on my pepper plant last year...)

I told her I'd be home in time for Thanksgiving. And I will be. One way or another.

But you're not speaking for the trees. :P You're speaking for your non-woody vegetation.
