I've been trying to build a *VERY SIMPLE* chat client and corresponding *VERY SIMPLE* chat server, in Java, just to get my programming legs back under me after, at this point, over three years of being incapable of coding. New job is showing more and more to be a good fit for me. I do wish that I had a good set of contacts to refer to the clients who beg me to come back and help with the computer problems "after hours", problems that do not fall within the scope of my company. Finally Employed Again!
Got a position at CBeyond that is right up my alley, pays around what I feel I deserve, has a normal human schedule, has benefits, and seems to be the job that will get me back on my feet again. Yay! -
Sick... over it... then...
So I was really sick Monday, had it coming out both ends, fever Monday night and into Tuesday. Finally was able to eat oatmeal around lunchtime and a real dinner last night. Love and Duck Tape
Ok, it's a metaphor, love is duck tape. Life is a fragile ceramic bowl. Wrap the life around the outside with love, wrap the bowl with duck tape. Different loves in your life are different layers of tape.
