I can't put off updating about this any longer. This is completely insane. I don't know how to describe vowel sounds in terms of long/short, but you know how reasonable people pronounce the 'a' in 'pasta' and 'Mazda' like the 'o' in Tom? They don't in Ontario! At least not on TV. Mazda commercials pronounce Mazda wrong. It's so hard to listen

pah-stuh is how I pronounce pasta, "mahz-duh" is how I pronounce Mazda. They say it like pass-tuh and mazz-duh!

even though, that makes it sound like texas.

They also say 'wicked' and call soda 'pop' so it's like a big collage of the worst slang in America.
