Why is the UK so mean and denying me The Eagle in the cinema? I don't want to have to wait when everyone else is off having fun playing in this fandom.

I wish to take a moment to extoll the virtues of Scrivener. I had never realised that a computer programme would make that much difference to my writing. How could MS Word be a problem? It's just a page that you type on.

So, dear flist, why is it that when I am 20k into a fic (well actually the number doesn't matter, significantly embroiled in plot, but not yet approaching the end) that I have the overwhelming urge to write all sorts of other things instead of that story?

Also, even if this film is monumentally awful (and I hope it isn't, but I am wary of childhood fiction loves being turned into films, look what they did to The Dark is Rising!) I'm definitely going to be looking for some deep and poignant Marcus/Esca fics. Just saying ;)
