Love his hair in the second picture..it's all over the place...and thinking about his hair, wasn't it a lot shorter in the pilot of SGA? I need to go check that now :)
I know. It's just... It's so pretty... And soft looking... Seriously, can you blame Rodney for wanting to touch it? Can you blame ANYONE for wanting to touch it?! *pats Sheppy*
In the third one he looks like someone has patted him on the head a little too much. Has there been natives and wicked alien priestesses that tries to steal him away from Rodney?
I love that second one - he looks so intense and maybe a little bit sad. I could stare at that face all day. He really does have an interesting face. The one with the gun is also great; I have this thing for dangerous Sheppard.
That man has one of the most mobile faces I've ever seen. Have you seen that scene with Steve the Wraith when Shep goes "How did McKay put it? We can't meet your dietary requirements" and then "Oki doki. I'm going to go make myself a sandwich"? I love his face in that scene, John Sheppard undiluted.
The second one is my favourite too- there's just something about the look in his eyes...*happy sigh*
I went back and re-watched the scene with Steve, and you're absolutely right, he can pull off some pretty hilarious expressions if I say so myself. Also, love the drawl :)
In that second one, he looks almost like someone else... maybe the John Sheppard that nobody really gets to see. I mean, we all know the easy-going flyboy and the dork by now - that would be yet another piece of the John-puzzle?
And the drawl! Joe Flanigan really is an interesting actor; his voice, his face, the way he moves... it's eye-catching, really.
I don't know if it's just me, but I think he gives off a certain feeling of vulnerability in that picture that just make me want to give him a hug :)
Joe Flanigan is certainly an interesting actor, with very interesting acting choices in some scenes that maybe weren't written that way, but he makes them fit with this idea I have of who John Sheppard is.
Also, sorry for the delay in responding, but real life sucks for the moment :(
