When I think of Seattle I think Frasier, Bill Gates and Starbucks. It's pretty funny that overall impression that Seattle left on you is that it's a dumpy city. I love the sushi pics. It's 9:30 am but man, what I wouldn't give to finish off that plate of maki right now.

I think of that prick in that band I used to like. Ugh.

I'm sure there are plenty of yuppie areas we didn't make it to, but the downtown was not nice. We were truly sketched out the whole time.

I'm so mad we didn't finish the sushi now.

You and your friend are just glowing with cuteness!!!

Nice photos! I know what you mean about dumpy cities. If you think Seattle is bad, NEVER go to New Orleans. You'd probably just cry.

I probably would, cry that is. I've been to other American cities that I loved, so I'm not trying to be anti-American or anything, but it is true that there are neighbourhoods in the States that just don't exist in Canada. Like once I got lost on the Southside of Chicago... now that was SCARY.

Totally not anti-American at all. People who watched post-Katrina footage got an eyeful of just how messed up things can be there, particularly in the South.

fantastic photos!! I just started designing a bunch of ads this week for Seattle. Seeing the Denny sign and Pike Place Market is crazy since I was doing ads for places I couldn't imagine how they looked or what this city was really like. Did you visit the Space Needle?

We walked over to it, and then decided not to spend $13 US to ride up an elevator and look at an ugly grey city. Maybe if it was night time and we could see some lights, but it just seemed like a giant rip off.
