It was bizarre. Did you see how after shaking his little girl's hand for the first time she turned to him again, probably with question in her eyes, and he shook her hand a second time maintaining about 3 feet in distance from her. Jeez. She must be about seven years old.

I've heard people already try to make excuses for him, saying that maybe he is in an awkward transition and doesn't know how to handle cameras in his family life yet, or maybe he didn't want to embarrass his kids by getting lovey... I see pffft! He is a cold robot without any feeling or charisma. He will not relate well to the public.

I think he comes across as a very flat unfeeling person. I think the public liked Jean and Paul because they had warmth, even if they were corrupt liers. Harper will not be able to connect with the public, and I bet it will cost him a second election.
