I don't know why you guys would go alone. Why does he feel weird having a group? Is it the specific group? I think it's good to spend time with people outside of each other, ya know? You'll still have alone time, but you'll be with other fun people, too.

its your dance. live it up. its a privilege to go to a high school dance for him, i dont know why he would feel weird about going with a group. groups are awesome. ask him why hes uncomfortable.

groups are always more fun than just going alone at dances. he'll have fun probably no matter what i wouldn't worry too much about it.
